Much as I enjoy traveling in Africa and writing about it, I also enjoy talking about it. I give guest lectures and I am occasionally asked as a speaker, panelist or moderator during events related to Africa or doing business in emerging markets. Recent public appearances include:

The better part of 2013 I was attached to South Sudanese newspaper The New Nation, as an editor and trainer. In this Belgian-funded project the aim was to create a high-quality newspaper in the world’s youngest nation. We did, until the outbreak of war in December 2013 disrupted activities.
